Fitting of Natural Flooring
Sisal, Seagrass, Coir, Jute and Paper are wholly natural products which respond directly to the environment they are sited in. They will expand and contract when the moisture in the air increases or decreases.
To ensure that the plant fibre floor coverings perform well they should be installed using one of the two methods described below. This will make sure that there is no buckling or wrinkling of the flooring when it expands and no shrinkage when it contracts, maintaining stability, resulting in prolonged life and good looks of your floor covering.
